One student of the programme, 17-year-old Yeats Ihrig, has gotten media attention for his style, focus and precision gained from his time in the Vosler Young Artists' Studio. As one of the five winner in the Smithsonian's Teen Portrait Competition, Yeats is now taking his artistic skill to the Angel Academy of Art in Florence, Italy.
Many of the student drawings are roughly based on the Bargue-Gérôme Drawing Course, a complete reprint of a famous last 19th century drawing course.
