Harry Carmarda had two pieces in a juried show last year at the Wallingford Community Center in Wallingford, Pa. The Wallingford shows are prestigious and of a very high quality. Bravo, Harry!
Both of these works were done over a long period of time in the cast hall at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, to which Harry has access. The oil painting is of a full-size cast of Rodin’s Age of Bronze and is named Light and Shadow on the Age of Bronze (24” x 15”). The graphite drawing (Copy of a Bas-Relief; 20”x11”), is of a bas-relief by Florentine artist Antonio Rossellino.
