On the 16th of February, Angel Academy instructor and alumnus Ashish Patel gave a very informative lecture to our students on the painting process used by the 19th-century Russian painters. These artists include such greats as Kramskoi and Repin.

Francis O'Toole selected for Royal Hibernian Academy's Exhibition
Angel Academy alumnus Francis O'Toole's painting Allegory of the Cave (oil on linen, 215 x 135 cm.) has been selected for this year's Royal Hibernian Academy's 186th Annual Exhibition in Dublin. The exhibition will run from March to June.
Bravo, Francis!! It's a powerful painting.

Michele Prezioso: Still Lifes and Exhibition
Recent Angel Academy graduate, Michele Prezioso, completed the program last trimester, finishing the program with these still lifes. Bravo, Michele!
Prezioso will open an exhibition of his work in Formia, Italia on the 13th and 14th of February at the Molàs Tower. It is open to the public all day on both days, if you're in the neighborhood be sure to check it out!

Christina Mastrangelo wins the Knohl Award
Angel Academy alumna Christina Mastrangelo is featured in the great ARC Salon show at the Salmagundi Club in New York City. Her triptych was the winner of the Knohl Award from the ARC International Salon Competition and was on display in Barcelona at the MEAM. It is being shown at the Salmagundi Club until Feb. 4th.

Martinho Correia featured in the Kolbe Times
AAA alumnus, Martino Correia is a successful professional painter, who taught full-time at our academy for years and continues to teach workshops at our school. Recently Correia has been featured in an article in the Kolbe Times on the subject of the Sacred Arts.
Correia instructs painting classes in St. Mary’s Sacred Arts program, and hopes to take part in a 'new Renaissance' in the tradition of realistic painting, philosophy and theology.
